Number of wheels to be completed each day (20 hour day) 4 minute cycle time = 15 cycles per hour, 21 wheels per cycle x 15 cycles per hour = 315 x 20 hours = 6,300 wheels per day!
Number of wheels per week (7 days) - 7 x 6,300 = 44,100 wheels per week
Number of wheels per month (30 days) - 30 x 6,300 = 189,000 per month.
Number of wheels per year (12 months) - 12 x 189,000 = 2,268,000 per year!
Using our machine and our process we project the following: Plating rejects = 0.01%, Blemishes in casting or sanding = 0.10%, In process rework = 0.05%. Total = 0.16%
