Manual TRU-GAGE
Fully pneumatic machine which measures radial and lateral runout, wheel width, wheel diameter, wheel offset, as well as performing Fourier analysis for low or high spot marking. This machine was suitable for laboratory work and positioning of the machine is done manually.
Semi-Automatic TRU-GAGE
Motor driven machine which can measure radial, lateral runout, Fourier analysis, wheel width, wheel diameter, wheel offset, as well as PCD, spoke, thickness, rim horn height, bore diameter, flatness, and inner diameter if suitable devices were attached. External Mitutoyo compatible measuring devices could be used as well. This machine was built for laboratory work due to the cycle time required to measure such a large number of features, but it does have motors for automatic positioning for the wheel.
Fully-Automatic TRU-GAGE
The fully automatic machine is a high-speed machine for measuring directly on the machining line and as such has a low cycle time. The machine measures radial, lateral runout, Fourier analysis, wheel width, diameter and offset and low-spot marking. The automatic machine simply integrated into a conveyor system. The automatic machine may have extra devices built into the device such as PCD, spoke, thickness, bore diameter however each feature can increase the cycle time. Wheels proceed either through the normal conveyor line or are pushed via the reject gate to the reject conveyor line.
